Ayubowan (Namaste) launch

The band is a prodigy! The biggest Super Stars in Sri Lanka! Bathiya N Santhosh presents to you their first ever Hindi pop album 'Ayubowan' (Namaste). This album has 15 songs and 2 videos, it also features - Sri Lankan cricket sensation, Sanath Jayasuriya & Chaminda Vas.

Bathiya & Santhosh have also given a new outlook to the Sri Lankan movie industry with their unique style of composing movie sound tracks. Their movie sound track for the Sri Lankan movie "Hiri Poda Wessa" was yet again a platinum hit for them in mid 2005.

Since their inception in 1998, the duo has achieved fourteen entries in the Sri Lankan music charts along with 14 number-one singles. Their single Siri Sangabodhi Maligawedi off the album Life was the first ever multilingual (English and Sinhalese) hit to be played on English Radio after 3 decades.

The latest album Neththara released in 2005 sold up to 75,000 copies in just 5 months. The album has been ranked as the biggest selling releases in Sri Lanka. The Single "Mana Bandu" received air play on the DJ Bobby Friction and Nihal show on BBC Radio 1 in March 2006. BNS were also featured on a live interview on BBC Televisions ASIA TODAY in June 2006.

BNS have also enjoyed enormous success overseas. In 2005 they won the award for the best music arrangement at the Voice of Asia Music Festival in Astana Kazakstan. In 2001 they were runners up at both the Voice of Asia Music Festival in Kazakhstan and the Shanghai Music Festival in China.

To this day, the duo has toured over 25 countries, their most memorable overseas show being to a crowd of over 27,000 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

They have also performed at the prestigious Sydney Opera House, Festival De Canns, Millennium Dome London etc. Further they opened concerts for legendary acts such as UB40 and famous contemporary artists. The Vengaboys and DJ Bobo in Sri Lanka.
