New ANCL Chairman

Veteran journalist and media personality Bandula Padmakumara assumed duties on Wednesday as the new Chairman of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited.

Padmakumara, a former editor of the Lakbima daily, became a household name through the popular 'Mul Pituwa' (Front Page) and 'Loka Sithiyama' (World Map) news and current affairs programmes on Swarnavahini. He is also closely associated with the performing arts scene.
