Colourful imaginations

Paintings from the recent exhibition of artist Sanjaya Senavirathna:

The artist who is a Undergraduate of the University of Visual and Performing Arts held his first solo exhibition in 2006 before which he participated in many group presentations both here and abroad.

Senaviratna who hails from Kadugannawa through his very recent exhibition of latest work brought to the foe a range of colourful canvases at Paradise Road Galleries where many viewers were overjoyed at seeing such a presentation of flambouyance.

He had participated in the 11th International Artist Camp held in Ujjain, India early this year which he says gave him an open view of works by many other artists both from the host country and others from its neighbouring countries.

Senaviratna is a recipient of the Young Artist of the Year Award 2006, which is presented by the George Keyt Foundation annually.
