Ladies rowers clinch Higgins Trophy
Ladies rowers rowed with great endurance,
strength and balance to win the overall title to carry away the
Maris Musaeus Higgins Trophy collecting 34 points to Musaeus College
6 points at the Ladies vs Musaeus 4th annual Regatta held on the
Beira Waters yesterday. The Regatta was sponsored by Dialog GSM.

S. Thomas', at Mutwal, went on to produce
Ceylon's first Prime Minister - the late Don Stephen Senanayake, and
now S. Thomas' after over hundred years and more, has produced the
first blind sportsman of recognisable standard in 19-year-old Ishan
Jaleel whose disability in sight, does not seem to be a drawback,
but makes him to take giant strides ahead in the sport that he
fancies - rowing.

England who finally found their elusive victory
