As we celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus, we listen to those wonderful Christmas carols, decorate our Christmas trees with joy and sink our teeth into delicious Christmas cake.

This time around as we commemorate three years of the disastrous tsunami and the ongoing war, our Christmas charity will go towards the needy and poor. They need to be embraced with love and happiness as Sri Lanka celebrates a happy 'Christmas 2007'.

Odel has tantalised their shoppers with a 'Paradise Found' theme that revolves around bringing a slice of summer into the Christmas spirit. The blending into always sunny Sri Lanka gives visitors a green and dazzling feeling.

Everyone from Mount Lavinia hotel, the Taj, the Hilton, Cinnamon Grand, Holiday Inn as well as Galle Face Hotel will not only bring joyous Christmas parties but New's Year's Eve parties around town are sure to make the town party!

A brisk walk at the World Trade Centre will open your eyes to a lighted Christmas tree over the water fountain and the streets, landmarks, roads around Cosmopolitan Colombo city will set the mood right for a memorable Christmas. Crescat, Majestic City, Liberty Plaza and Excel World have decked themselves brilliantly with their own Christmas decor to uplift the cheer and goodwill all around.
