  Security Forces achieve tremendous success

The Security Forces achieved tremendous success during the past couple of years, confining the LTTE terrorists to the Wanni jungles. During 2007, the Security Forces liberated civilians from the clutches of terrorism and cleared the entire Eastern Province. These maps, which show the Tiger-held areas in red, speaks volumes of the success story of the Security Forces in eradicating terrorism.


CFA abrogation unmasks LTTE - TULF leader

The Tamil United Liberation Front leader Veerasingam Anandasangaree welcoming the decision to abrogate the Ceasefire Agreement said that the agreement only helped the LTTE to expand its terrorist activities and to blindfold the international community.

Colombo Dockyard presents 80 ton anchor handling tug vessel

Colombo Dockyard PLC presented its first 80 ton anchor handling tug supply vessel "GREATSHIP ANJALI" to Greatship (India) Ltd. This is the first anchor handling tug supply vessel built by a Sri Lankan company. This vessel is the first on the list and orders for two more anchor handling tug supply vessels have been placed by Greatship (India) Ltd. The handing over ceremony was held on January 2 at the Colombo Dockyard premises.
