JKH share up 48%

Earnings per share of JKH up by 48 per cent to Rs. 5.05 for the nine months ended December 31, 2007.

Profit attributable to equity holders of JKH increased by 64 per cent to Rs. 3.20 billion in the first nine months of 2007-08.

Group revenue for the nine months ended December 31, 2007 increased by 23 per cent to Rs. 29.20 billion.

Profit before tax (PBT) for the nine months ended 31 December 2007-08 increased by 47 per cent to Rs. 4.09 billion.

Ellaidhoo and Dhonveli in the Maldives fully refurbished and relaunched as Chaaya Reef Ellaidhoo and Chaaya Island Dhonveli during the peak winter season.

JKH announced a Special Dividend of Rs. 2 per share in anticipation of a higher PAT in 2007-08 on account of higher dividend income, interest income in a high interest rate environment and various cost saving measures.
