The National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) will use satellite technology to identify the best places to fish, a media briefing was told.

The Chairman of National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency, K. Haputhantri said,: "the advantage of the project is that, when fishermen use the longline method to catch fish, they can reduce the cost of fuel usage and provide a better quality catch of fish which will help them to increase the income.

He said this decision was taken to obtain the services of the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources to develop the fishing industry.
