Kobian sets up 500th Nenasala Centre in Samanthurai
Kobian Technologies (Pvt) Ltd., one of the leading IT companies in
Sri Lanka set up the 500th Nenasala Centre at the Community Services
Development Society in Samanthurai in the Ampara district recently.
The 500th Nenasala Centre is yet another milestone of the eSri Lanka
initiative of the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri
Lanka on setting up the 1,000 Nenasala Centres.

The Nenasala initiative came up with the concept of President Mahinda
Rajapaksa providing ICT access to rural areas. It is implemented by the
Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA)
under the eSri Lanka initiative.
Kobian Technologies was awarded the Nenasala contract subsequent to a
competitive bidding process by the ICTA to carry out the process of
implementation, equipment installation, network technology deployment
and for technology support services. |
