Thyroid cancer

Thirty-five-year old R. P. Jagath Prasanna of No. 515B, Horampella, Minuwangoda, a father of two children has been afflicted with thyroid cancer. Dr. R. S. Jayatilleke, Oncologist, Oasis Hospital, Colombo has estimated that a sum of Rs. 152,000 would be needed for radioactive iodine therapy.

His family finds it difficult to raise the funds and appeals to the public for assistance. All contributions may be remitted to A/C No. 1983, Co-operative Bank, Horampella, Minuwangoda (Gampaha District).

Kidney transplant

A. W. Mohamed Siyan of Kurinchekerny, Kinniya, a father of a child, who is suffering from renal failure, is unable to meet the expenses for the cost of the currently needed dialysis and to perform the kidney transplant on February 22 at the National General Hospital, Colombo.

Contributions to this cause may be remitted to his wife Mrs. Jaufar Jasmin, Savings A/C No. 0094-2-015847-2, People's Bank, Kinniya.
