Environment

It is a part of our life!

We have many valuable things that nature has given us. The most important is the environment. It is a gift of nature. We must regard it as our blood because it is an essential part of human life.

The environment is our surrounding. We should keep it clean and beautiful. Cleanliness of the environment is very useful to us because we get food, medicine, clothes and timber from the environment. It makes our lives healthy and happy. So, there is a strong bond between the environment and human beings.

Trees are an integral part of our environment. Both man and animal cannot survive without trees. They beautify the environment. Trees make the soil fertile and also bring rain. Some people have not realised the value of trees yet. They cut down trees for their needs without planting new ones to replace them.

Sometimes we need to cut down trees for development purposes, but we should plant other trees in that place to ensure that the balance in the eco system is not disturbed. Without following this method, if we continue to cut down trees in this manner, not only our country, but the entire world will become a desert one day.

People who cut down trees illegally are not thinking properly. Without trees we would not have oxygen to breathe. The entire life cycle can be affected when we cut down trees and pollute the environment.

Protect trees

Trees are very useful to us. Trees are very beautiful and pleasant too. They give us food, medicine, wood and shade. But, most people do not value trees. They destroy trees. They do not think about the future. I think they should be severely punished. Trees give us oxygen and cleans up the environment. Without trees, our Earth will become a desert. So, we must protect trees for our own survival.

Environmental pollution harms us

The environment means the air, the trees, animals, humans and everything that surround us. Environmental pollution therefore is a harmful thing we humans do. This pollution can be divided into three main categories; land pollution, air pollution and water pollution.

The smoke that emits from motor vehicles and various chemical gases released from factories pollute the air causing severe climatic changes.

We also pollute the environment, by putting garbage and other harmful things into waterways. The land we live in needs to be kept clean because we can get many benefits out of it.

By putting garbage on the roadside especially polythene bags that are not bio degraded we pollute the land. When we protect the environment, the environment will also protect us.

But when we do not protect the environment we live in, we will only bring harm upon ourselves. So, by keeping the environment clean, we reduce many disasters. Nature will not punish us then. “Can you protect the environment? Say, Yes I can”, because it is for your own protection that you need to do it.

Trees or factories?

Environment is our surrounding
Which gives the basic needs
In the past, full of trees
At present full of factories

Trees clean the environment
By absorbing carbon dioxide
Factories do the opposite
By releasing carbon dioxide

If you cut one tree
Plant at least ten more
They’ll all grow nicely
And help us live happily

So you have to decide
What’s good for the future
To cut trees and die
Or save trees and live?
