NBC achieves world renowned GMP Standards

Nature’s Beauty Creations (NBC) Ltd., the manufacturers and marketers
of the totally Sri Lankan Nature’s Secrets range of herbal personal care
products, obtained the globally acclaimed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Certificate for manufacturing of Nature’s Secrets products recently. NBC
is the only Sri Lankan herbal cosmetics company which has achieved the
prestigious GMP Certificate so far.
GMP refers to a set of guidelines recognised worldwide, for the
proper management of the manufacturing and quality control processes of
food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics products.
GMP guidelines address issues including infrastructure, production
and process control, process definition, packaging and labelling
control, staff qualifications, sanitation, cleanliness, usage of
suitable manufacturing and testing equipment, complaint handling and
record keeping.
Adhering to these standards is mandatory in the United States of
America (USA) when manufacturing food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic
products. Leading food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing
companies around the globe too follow the GMP guidelines.
SGS Lanka, which is affiliated to the internationally recognised
inspection, verification, testing and certification body SGS, has
conducted many thorough inspections of the NBC factory as well as all
other aspects related to GMP requirements, prior to awarding the
prestigious certification.
