3.9 m Govt. school students to get uniforms

School uniform materials will be provided to 3.9 million government school students before the year end school holidays, said Education Minister Susil Premajayantha. The value of the materials will be Rs. 1,260 million, he said.

The Education Ministry will obtain the uniform materials from the Handloom Textile Ministry.

Handloom Textile Minister, Mahinda Ratnatileke said the uniform materials will be manufactured by the local textile manufacturers who were selected after calling tenders. L. S. A. W
