New Zealand announce dates for Windies, India Tests

CRICKET: WELLINGTON, Aug 30 - New Zealand will play two test matches and five one-day internationals against both West Indies and India, New Zealand cricket announced on Friday. New Zealand will play tests against West Indies in Dunedin and Napier in December before a series of ODIs beginning on New Year's Eve and carrying through to Jan. 13.

They will play five ODIs in March against India ahead of tests in Hamilton and Wellington in late March-early April.

The West Indies will also play two Twenty20 internationals and India one. New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori said he was looking forward to facing the contrasting styles of the two countries.

"They are two teams who are both on the rise and they will provide a good measure of where we are at in our own development," Vettori said.

West Indies:

Dec 11-15: First Test, University Oval, Dunedin

Dec 19-23: Second Test, McLean Park, Napier

Dec 26: Twenty20 International, Eden Park, Auckland

Dec 28: Twenty20 International, Seddon Park, Hamilton

Dec 31: First ODI at Queenstown Events Centre, Queenstown

Jan 3: Second ODI, AMI Stadium, Christchurch

Jan 7: Third ODI, Westpac Stadium, Wellington

Jan 10: Fourth ODI, Eden Park, Auckland

Jan 13: Fifth ODI, McLean Park, Napier

India:

March 6: Twenty20 International, Westpac Stadium Wellington

March 8: First ODI, McLean Park, Napier

March 11: Second ODI, Seddon Park, Hamilton

March 14: Third ODI, Eden Park, Auckland

March 17: Fourth ODI, Westpac Stadium, Wellington

March 20: Fifth ODI, AMI Stadium, Wellington

March 22-24: New Zealand XI, Bert Sutcliffe Oval, Lincoln

March 26-30: First Test, Seddon Park, Hamilton

April 3-7: Second Test, Basin Reserve, Wellington.
