ETI on the fast track, says CEO

Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI) launched the company’s new vision at the BMICH at a mega-extravaganza for its employees recently. “Our performance has been a glorious one. We have won a long list of awards that demonstrate the success of our new vision - 1:2:13. We are on the fast track as we focus on the future with new eyes”, said Chief Executive Officer, Mahendra de Silva.

He told a gathering of over 500 that “ETI commenced operations 39 years ago and we are now in the big league with the fastest growth. Up to 2004 we kept pace with our competitors, but since we reorganised our marketing strategies, to meet the needs of the country, the market and the environment, we have propelled ourselves at a truly amazing speed,” he said.

The company is striving to obtain ISO certification for the Group and has already obtained the certification for ETI Leasing and ETI Homes. The Company’s Management style sans red tape, demonstrating a high degree of mutual trust and understanding encourages and motivates transparency in all their endeavours. “Anyone can walk into the office of the CEO or any Senior Manager,” de Silva said.

Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Soma Edirisinghe said, “We will be able to achieve the new vision by working as one family, putting our hearts and souls together.”

Director/Consultant, Postgraduate Institute of Management, Dr. Uditha Liyanage was also present.

The CEO made a brief presentation of the Corporate Plan for the next five years. This augmented the special briefing made to the Board of Directors and Senior Managers in March earlier this year at the Trans Asia Hotel.

Twenty-six employees with over twenty years’ service were felicitated for their loyalty and commitment.
