South Asian Ports Games

The competitors from all seaports and airports of the five South Asian Countries will participate at the South Asian Ports Games (SAPOG) to be held from October 4 to 8 at different venues. The main venue of the sports festival will be in Colombo while several games in the festival have been scheduled to be held in various parts of the country.

The inaugural South Asian Ports Games will see participants from India Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka vying for honours. For this festival, 54 teams from various ports and airport establishments will participate.The opening ceremony will be held on October 4 at the Sugathadasa Stadium and the closing ceremony and distribution of awards will be on October 8 at Temple Trees, with President Mahinda Rajapaksa as chief guest.
