All-time record price for BOP1

A kilogramme of Broken Orange Pekoe No.1 (BOP1) grade from the Galaxy Tea Factory was sold at an all- time high of Rs. 660 at the Colombo Tea Auction on October 7. The previous record for this grade was Rs. 650 per kilogramme.

The tea was successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities (Pvt) Limited.

The Galaxy Tea Factory owned and managed by Expolanka Plantations (Pvt) Ltd., is a subsidiary of the Expolanka Group of Companies.
