The friend in need!

On the sandy paths
In an evil desert
How far have I passed?
If I could measure....

With frightened eyes
I wandered with no pleasure
Without a device
To make them truly measured....

I found a pure green valley
With happiness there in plenty
But I realised I was stupid
Because; it was only a mirage....

I walked on and on
And came to a blue surfaced lake
Knelt to drink some water
But no water, could I see....

At day time it was very hot
At nights, it was very cool
I found that nothing I've got
Thought whether such a foo wasl....

One day in a morning
With drowsy eyes and yawning
I saw the new rising sun
I felt, it was the day of fun....

You are the only rain which dropped
Into the withered life drought struck
You gave me the life's hope
And made myself be reborn .....

You are the one made for my life - lit up my life
You are the friend who was there - in need
You are the one to lead me to a - rise up
You are the friends, you are the friend - yes; indeed....

Thunder storms would blow - straight upon us
Heavy rains may fall with - floods on
Obstructions would oppose - upon us
But our friendship will remain.... ever.... - on and on....

The Methods to our Madness

When do you write?

Whenever the mood strikes
First thing in the morning
In the middle of the day
At the end of the day
Whenever the kids give me a quiet moment
At work when the boss isn't peering
On my lunch break

How long are your sessions?

I don't have a set length
I spend about a half hour for a session
I spend an hour or more per session
I like to spend an entire day just writing poetry
I concentrate on the number of poems, not on the time

How do you choose your subjects?

I write about the events in my life
I take items from the news or other mediums
I try to imagine other characters and voices
I write about the things I see
I just make stuff up

How do you prepare?

Just sit down and start
Take a walk first
Exercise first
Meditate first
Keep a list of possible topics
Read the newspaper
Read other people's poetry
Reread my previous session's work
Scream

What writing methods do you use?

Just write the poem
Write an outline
Automatic writing
Start in prose then convert it to poetry
Convert entries from a journal

How do you edit or revise?

I don't
I correct spelling and grammar errors
I revise as I go
I reread the poem and look for errors or parts that could be better but I don't stay too long on it
I rework my poems extensively, often changing order, word choice and adding new parts.

The Single Star

One day
A single star was illuminating in the sky
It was enlightened the entire world.
Most of the people said that
It is an enchanting star
Because of its brilliant shine
In a most specific day
One innocent girl fought against the darkness
Her whole world which was full of dark shadows
She begged the star and said
"Please come and light the night against this darkness"
The star agreed and came
Enlightened her whole world
But instantly the single star disappeared
But now the innocent heart always yearns
For the shine of this single star
She always says
"my dear single star
I want you to shine again and again
Tell me whether you will be back
It will take some time
I'll be waiting................."

The reason

Who is responsible...?
The youth in me is lost!
The active girl is lost!
And...what is the reason?

It's true that nothing will last long
But I have lost myself, too fast.
Yet.... I'm trying to find...
What the reason behind is!!

I've made a great youthful mistake...
And today I'm in a tearful state...
Everything in my life is taking a step back!
 

Happiness and sadness...
They appear with no-ones awareness,
But the choice is always ours
Today's sarrow has enclosed my world and me
And now I can clearly see.....
The reason for this is none but me!!
