Pre quarter-finalists found in Blue and Gold Hockey Sevens

Sixteen school teams will compete in the boys and girls pre-quarter finals today at the ongoing Blue and Gold Under-19 Hockey

Sevens organised by the Royal College Hockey Association which began at the Royal grounds, Colombo yesterday.

The sixteen school teams who have made it to the boys' pre quarter-finals are Royal "Blues", Trinity, St.Benedict's, Mahinda, Royal "Golds", Kingswood, S.Thomas, Mt. Lavinia, Prince of Wales, Nalanda, Joseph Vaz, Christ Church, St.Sylvester's, Vijaya, Matale, Isipathana, Ananda and St.Thomas, Matara.

The eight teams in the girls' pre quarter-finals are Seethadevi, Sangamitta, Matale, Ladies College, Sirimavo Bandaranaike, Yashodara Balika, Colombo, Vijaya, Matale, President's College, Yashodara

BMV, Gampaha, Visakha, Bishops', Pushpadana, Kandy, Musaeus, Gothami Balika and Viharamaha Devi, Kiribathgoda.

The tournament consists of three categories Cup, Plate and Bowl.

Thirty six Boys Hockey teams and Sixteen Girls Hockey teams are participating in this tournament. This tournament is sponsored by Singer (Sri Lanka) Limited.
