Training courses for ayurvedic nurses

The Ministry of Indigenous Medicine will offer training courses for selected ayurvedic nurses during the first week of next month.

Forty ayurvedic nursing students have been selected for a three - year course under the first phase of the programm.

Over 250 vacancies for nurses exist in 50 ayurvedic hospitals, said Ayurvedic Commissioner Ramani Gunawardana.

The Commissioner said that the Ministry of Indigenous Medicine will select the other Ayurvedic Nurse students after the first phase of the program.
