Superb double by Thurstan's Kamaleen

CRICKET: A fine allround performance by Thurstanite S. Kamaleen with
a match bag of (12 for 117) and 76 was the main feature in the drawn
school cricket encounter between Royal and Thurstan at the Thurstan
College grounds yesterday.
Royal batting first was all out for 275 with Bhanuka Rajapakse top
scoring with a fluent 125. While Kithruwan Vithanage too came with a
pleasing batting display striking 79 and 80 in the two innings. Thurstan
in reply were 124 for 6 overnight and were shot out for 179, Ramitha
Rambukwella taking 4 for 37. Royal going in for the second time with a
96 run lead, was aided by a fine 80 by Kithruwan Vithanage to declare
their innings at 145 for 8 setting Thurstan a victory target of 241 runs
off 41 overs. Thurstan were 185 for 3 at close. S.Kmaleen led the run
chase with a quick 76.
