Antonians take major honours

CRICKET: St. Athonys College Katugastota fought back to past a first
innings win over S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia in their inter school
cricket match conducted at Katugastota yesterday. Thomians continuing
from their overnight score of 73 for no loss did not make much progress
and their openers Fahim Saleem (35) and T. Fernando (51) were separated
at 83 with just 10 runs added to the total they were struggling at 153
for 6 at one stage before being all out for 193. Left arm spinner Adil
Reyal 4 for 58 and off spinner Kasun Ekanayake 4 for 35 were the pick of
the Antonian bowling.
When the Antonions battled the second time their batting was held
together by a good knock of 57 by Delash Kumarasinghe.
St. Anthony's College 259 for 9 decl. and 116 for 7 wkts in 44 overs
