Angelo and Chatura pilot Peterites to victory

Stylish middle order batsman Angelo Perera hammered a superb 157 and
Chatura Peiris took a match bag of nine wickets as St. Peter's College
cruised to their third successive victory this season defeating Kalutara
MV outright by an innings and 113 runs in their inter school cricket
tournament match concluded at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
St. Peter's College piled up a massive 372 for 6 in their first
innings with Chatura Peiris also making his presence felt with the bat
while scoring a sparkling 51 from just 12 deliveries.
He snapped up six wickets in the first innings to bundle out Kalutara
MV for 86 runs in their first innings and added three more scalps to his
tally in the second innings as the visitors were dismissed for 173 runs.

Easy for Bens
Spinners Dilanka Auwardt and Suren Silva captured five wickets each
to help St. Benedict's College beat Wesley College outright by an
innings and 36 runs in their inter school cricket tournament match
concluded at Kotahena yesterday.
St. Benedict's: 201
Wesley: 88 and 77 (D. Auwardt 5 for 25, S. Silva 5 for 16).
De Mazenod force a draw
All rounder Shamal Perera took a four wicket haul and hit a fighting
half century to help De Mazenod College force a draw to their inter
school cricket tournament match against St. Joseph's College concluded
at Kandana yesterday.
De Mazenod: 183 and 163 for 8 (S. Perera 61, C. Kumara 5 for
31).
