NComputing appoints Bartleet as distributor
NComputing, a leading provider of desktop virtualisation appliances,
has appointed Bartleet Electronics Limited to distribute its products in
Sri Lanka. This agreement is the most recent in NComputing's push to
expand its partner and channel network globally in response to the
growing demand for affordable computing.
Bartleet was selected because of their long history in introducing
new technologies to the region and extensive experience with IT
solutions which positioned them uniquely well for bringing NComputing's
affordable and game-changing solution to the island nation. The
partnership is an acknowledgement that NComputing shared-computing
solutions are ideal for Sri Lankan schools and businesses.
The thirty user L230 and seven user X300 devices are the NComputing's
innovations which Bartleet distributes as the sole distributor in Sri
Lanka. These devices are ideal for computer schools, business
institutions and even for a house because users are able to use seven or
30 PCs from only one CPU and only one NComputing device. The repairs are
rare and maintenance cost are kept in check because the users only have
to maintain and upgrade the shared PCs not these two devices. The small
chassis consumers less power, generates less heat, produces less e-waste
and makes no noise.
NComputing, the winner of the Wall Street Journal's Technology
Innovation Award, was founded with the goal of making desktop computing
affordable for everyone. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, it
is a privately held virtualisation software and hardware company.
