Tigers stuck as Forces advance
The successive victories achieved by the Security Forces capturing
LTTE strongholds in the Northern front and from the Wanni front has
put the Tiger leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran in a very embarrassing
and humiliating position as he prepares to deliver his so-called
Mahaveer Day speech on November 26.

Ceasefire only if LTTE disarms itself completely - Keheliya
Rambukwella
In the backdrop of the Security Forces inflicting heavy damage on
the LTTE in the Wanni, Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has reiterated
that there won’t be a ceasefire at this juncture with the LTTE,
until the outfit totally disarms itself and enters the political
mainstream decently.

Second suspect remanded in boy abduction case
The second suspect involved in the abduction of a five-year-old boy
was taken in for questioning in the Madawela town near Wattegama on
a tip off received by the SIU of the Kandy police last week.
