Sri Lanka Armed Forces to launch:
Biggest ever rescue operation
The Sri Lankan military is to expedite the world’s largest hostage
rescue operation where the LTTE terrorists keep over 70,000
civilians in a small patch of land less than 20 square kilo metres,
the Army Commander Lt. Gen. Sarath Fonseka said.

Military action in Puthukudiyiruppu bring
positive results:
As the Security Forces are engaged in the final lap of the operation
outside the No-Fire-Zone, North East of Puthukudiyiruppu where LTTE
leader Velupillai Prabhakaran and other top rung leaders had fled
to, the Tiger outfit is seemingly engaged in a process to shift
their operations to the next phase of the Eelam War.
