Zeeniya creates history

Ms Zeeniya Rasheed, General Manager (Marketing) of United Motors Lanka PLC was elected as Chairperson of the Ceylon Motor Traders Association at its 89th AGM held at the Galadari Hotel recently.

Ms Rasheed created history by becoming the first lady to hold this prestigious position. She succeeded Senaka Amerasinghe, CEO of Carmart who completed his two year term.

Ms Rasheed has a distinguished career in Marketing and holds a Diploma in Marketing from CIM(UK) and an MBA from the University of Ceylon (Colombo Campus). Further she has also served as a Senior Consultant at the Open University The Executive Committee of the Ceylon Motor Traders Association for 2009/2010 is as follows: Chairperson Zeeniya Rasheed - United Motors Lanka PLC Vice Chairmen Tilak Gunasekera - Sathosa Motors PLC, Senani Perera - Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Immediate Past Chairman Senaka Amarasinghe - Carmart Ltd.
