Sri Lanka well set after decades - Ziebinski

"We are very optimistic about this moment. Sri Lankan smiles speak out loud. I am impressed with the people I have heard so much about. Unique reason to be here" said Jarek Ziebinski, President, Leo Burnett, Asia Pacific, in Sri Lanka for the first time, to participate in the 10th anniversary celebrations of Leo Burnett Sri Lanka, at a media conference held recently.

Speaking about Leo Burnett Sri Lanka he said the decade in operation has been rewarding, winning awards at "Adfest", "Spikes" and "Cannes Lions". He said that the communication business is not about creativity itself but something that delivers results. Sri Lankan Burnettos have won recognition for achieving this objective receiving accolades at the Media AME Awards becoming the only Leo Burnett office in the South Asian region to have received five such awards.

Becoming the most awarded agency for five consecutive years is no small feat and was crowned again topping the tally at "Chillies".

Its all about the strength of the partnerships built over the years. Its all about getting just the right mix of people who are professionals with exceptional talent. Its all about working as one pulling together towards one goal; excellence, he said.

Arvind Sharma, Chairman, Leo Burnett South Asia said looking back at the decade-long astounding track record it is evident that the decades to come will continue with the winning tradition.

Ranil De Silva, Managing Director of Leo Burnett Sri Lanka said that the post war new Sri Lanka holds much promise for the ad-industry and LBSL is geared to take on every opportunity to contribute its might to boost the country's economy. The visit of two regional giants in the industry endorses their continued support and bears a mark of recognition of the benchmarks set by a ten year-young Leo Burnett Sri Lanka said De Silva.

The local office of Leo Burnett Solutions inc., is a local counterpart of the global network of Leo Burnett Worldwide, housing 70 professionals, is one of five top advertising agencies in Sri Lanka today.

LBSL is diversified into Starcom Worldwide, their international media arm, Arc Worldwide Sri Lanka, a communications company offering Digital Media, Relationship Marketing, Public Relations, Retail Branding, Events and Activations and their latest entry, Europe's Publicis Worldwide.

With market driven creativity and strong client partnerships, Leo Burnett is poised to shake up the ad-world, to create a permanent niche for Sri Lankan creativity.
