What's your favourite song you love to listen to or may be sing, it out loud in your musical or unmusical voice? Is it Joshua Kadison's 'Beautiful in My Eyes' or 'Jesse'? Or may be you love Unchained Melody or Imagine. How about Can You Feel the Love Tonight? If you are nodding in agreement then make your tracks to the Taj Airport Garden , Seeduwa, this Sunday afternoon and enjoy the smooth sounds of Fantasy who will be the featured band at the Sunday Brunch Extravaganza.

With no crashing guitars or loud keyboard runs, Fantasys' music on a Sunday afternoon is ideally suited to chase your Sunday Blues away. What's more its a day of fun and frolic at the Sunday Buffet with boat tours on the historic Negombo lagoon. "Beach Volley', 'Quad Bike' riding and the much looked forward to cool dip in the pool.

Having said that, lets spool onto the music and seek the low down on the group Fantasy. The band a quartet comprises the leader Sudath Mannapperuma guitar/vocals, Warnajith Prasanna - keybaords,

Samantha Geekiyanage - vocals with the glitz thrown in, in the shape of Shiromi Almeida.

"Actually we took off from where Zodiac left off, following the tragic death of our leader Roshan Hadjee. We play the Colombo/Negombo circuit and we have been playing for functions, dances and weddings and having our handsful. We learnt a lot from Roshan, he was as you know a versatile singer and we do miss him.

Of course Shiromi is new but the three of us are former members of Zodiac, reveals Sudath who has an attractive voice for singing ballads. In fact on a Sunday afternoon he had the guests present sing along with him enthusiastically in his rendition of Unchained Melody.

"I love music and my repertoire contains a lot of ballads. I enjoy singing the ballads of Elton John, Beatles, John Denver and Joshua Kadison to name a few. Apart from ballads, my other favourites are Rock n' Roll, oldies and country, which go down well at weddings.

Shiromi who joined us recently handles the Sinhala and Hindi songs along with us" remarks Sudath.

Musically Fantasy the band is bound for progress since they do not belong to the hip hop style of singing their music, but instead have chosen the smooth, easy and cool track which is an attraction in its own way. Catch their performance this Sunday.
