Gordy will pen intro to Jackson’s re-issued Moonwalk

Motown founder Berry Gordy has been revealed as the ‘mystery friend’ who will write a new introduction for Michael Jackson’s 20-year-old memoir Moonwalk, which will be reissued in October. As WENN previously reported, publishers at Random House have ordered a first print of 100,000 copies of the tome, which was originally acquired by Jackie Onassis, when she was the book editor at publishing house Double Day, and released in 1988.

The book’s original editor, Shaye Areheart – who worked closely with Onassis - will oversee the reissue. The Moonwalk revamp will be released simultaneously in America, Germany, France and the U.K. A New York Times bestseller, the memoir was a tightly guarded secret project, code named Neil Armstrong, up until its release.

Gordy was among the speakers at Jackson’s memorial service in Los Angeles last month.

Khan detained at US airport

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan was detained for questioning by U.S. immigration officials as he flew into New Jersey on August 15 and the star insists he was singled out.

The highly-acclaimed Indian actor jetted into Newark Airport, New Jersey to be confronted by authorities who detained him while they checked his reasons for visiting the country. Khan was en-route to Chicago, Illinois to take part in celebrations of India’s Independence Day on August 15.

And Khan insists he didn’t know how to react to the airport interrogation - admitting he is cautious of Americans’ reactions to Muslims. I had my papers in order.

I was really taken aback.” Meanwhile, U.S. Ambassador in India, Timothy Roemer, reveals there is an investigation underway to uncover why Khan was treated in such a way. He says, “We are trying to ascertain the facts of the case - to understand what took place.”

The actress and Hollywood agent David Bugliari tied the knot at the groom’s family home. The two met in 2006 and became engaged last December.

Alyssa wore a custom gown from designer Vera Wang and walked down the aisle while John Lennon’s “Imagine” played.

“We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple,” the star said. She paid tribute to her Italian heritage with a family-style dinner that she said was intended to capture the feeling of her family traditions.
