K. Randeniya - three wins at Red Cross Meet

ATHLETICS: K. Randeniya of Ranabima Royal College, Gannoruwa secured first place in 100, 200 metres and won again the 100 metres hurdles in the under 16 age group at the athletics meet conducted by Red Cross Society, Kandy and held at weekend at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy.

It was undoubtedly the most impressive performance at the meet.

100 metres hurdles under-16: 1. K. Randeniya (Ranabima Royal, Gannoruwa), 2. W. Bandara (Dharmaraja College).

High Jump under-16: 1. W. Bandara (Dharmaraja), 2. L. Helapitiya, (Dharmaraja).

800 metres under-16: 1. M. Sachinthana (Sri Rahula, Katugastota), 2. A. Tennekoon (Poojapitiya Central).

100 metres under-16: 1. K. Randeniya (Ranabima Royal), 2. T. Karunaratne (St. Sylvester's).

200 metres under-16: 1. K. Randeniya (Ranabima Royal), 2. T. Karunaratne (St. Sylvester's).

Under 18

800 metres: 1. G. Vithanage (Dharmaraja), 2. M. Gayan Lahiru (Sri Rahula, Katugastota).

High Jump: 1. Dharmasena (Trinity), 2. M. Hettiarachchi (Trinity).

110 metres hurdles: 1. H. Saleemdeen (Trinity), 2. Galapitage (Vidyartha).

100 metres: 1. A. Tennekoon (Poojapitiya Central), 2. H. Saleemdeen (Trinity).
