SLT Vision Com pays tribute to Armed Forces

Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa presents the 1st Sri
Lanka Telecom PEO TV Ranaviru Pranama connection to one of the
war heroes. SLT Chairperson, Mrs. Leisha De Silva Chandrasena
and Chief Executive Officer SLT VisionCom, Thusha Weerasooriya
were present.

SLT VisionCom officially launched the Sri Lanka Telecom PEO TV `Ranaviru
Pranama’ Package as a tribute to the armed forces at the Ministry of
Defence on August 20, 2009. This is the company’s way of paying tribute
to the armed forces for the yeoman services rendered to the nation.
`The first connection of the Ranaviru Pranama Package was presented
by the Defence Secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to the war hero Sirikumara,
who among many had rendered selfless service towards safeguarding the
country.
This was handed over to him in the presence of Leisha De Silva
Chandrasena, the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Telecom and Thusha
Weerasooriya, the CEO of SLT VisionCom.
Speaking at the occasion, the SLT Chairperson Leisha De Silva
Chandrasena said “The launch of the `Ranaviru Pranama’ Package signifies
the respect the SLT has for the armed forces that helped to free the
country of the scourge of terrorism and thereby unite the nation under
one flag. We are providing the best in entertainment with futuristic
cutting edge technology through this Ranaviru Pranama Package to our war
heroes”.
