As soon as Shenaya got to school she went to her class and kept her school bag and went out with a group of friends. She saw a group of younger girls she usually sees but ignored them, they looked disappointed. “Shenaya, I think they’re following you...”said one of her friends to her.

“Again!” chimed in another “How do you all know they’re following me? Maybe they’re going the same place were going” Shenaya added. When the bell rang Shenaya went back to class and saw, again, that eager group of girls. Shenaya didn’t think it was possible they were following her, why would they? That day during the interval she stayed in class, and didn’t go out, she felt kind of sick. Again the third time that day she saw ‘them’, those girls. It was final she would confront them tomorrow.

Tomorrow came quicker than normal, she didn’t think about it much but when the time came she was a nervous wreck “I’m going to ask them...” she told her friends. “Oh, good! tell them to quit following us!” one friend said. She approached the group of girls; they scrambled all over the place. One brave girl, just stood there. Shenaya knew she was scared on the inside but she didn’t show “hi, I’m....” Shenaya started. “Shenaya? I know. I’m Tharini, and...those were my friends...” she pointed at a large door, three girls hid there, staring.

“Shenelle, Tamara and Diane” she introduced. “Well, Hi...” Shenaya said “I know...you’re probably scared that we follow you around...are you?” Tharini asked “well...I wanted to ask you weather you are following me, but that is confirmed...” Shenaya said, unsure of herself.

“Ha ha ha!” Tharini started laughing. “So..is this like a fan club?” she asked, not sure if she should have asked that. Tharini looked out into the sky. Shenaya got scared. “Well....yes... I guess you can say that” Tharini said “Oh..well...nice meeting you, bye, I have to go” Shenaya said and left. The group of girls again got together.

“How’d it go? You took so long!” said a friend of Shenaya’s “It went nice. She was sweet. And you were right, it is a fan club!” told Shenaya to her friends. “I knew it...ha ha ha!” They started laughing, but it wasn’t funny, Shenaya thought. They look up to me and I respect that she thought.

“You’re so lucky!” said Diane to Tharini that day “I know she’s really sweet” Tharini told her friends.

Now it was almost a week and the stalking hadn’t stopped. It was hard to tell weather Shenaya liked or hated it, but she acted as if she knew but didn’t take notice. Shenaya was a little scared also.

The girls were a little bit firm than before they said ‘hi or hello’ when they saw each other or smiled. One day they met in the canteen ‘oh! It’s you! hi!” Tharini said fearlessly. The rest hid, this was also annoying because Shenaya wanted to get to know the other girls. “Hi, can you tell your friends I’m not going to eat them or chew them up?” Shenaya told them “Okay, no need to shout...” Tharini said, half scared “Well, I won’t eat them...” said Shenaya as Tharini left.

“I don’t like Shenaya as much as I used too” said Tharini to her friends that day “What?!! that princess? well, Tharini!” said Shenelle “I know, but she is..so” Tharini started “I know,” said Tamara “You just got the feeling that now you’re her friend and we might get friendly, you got scared and drowned in jealousy!” she explained “Yes, friends, I did! I am awfully sorry...” she confessed “It was mean to try to get us away from her!” cried Diane “I know...” started Tharini “Friends…” she said she was sorry, “let’s forgive and forget” Tamara preached “Okay, this once though, never try that on us again!” Diane warned. They all hugged.

“We still like Shenaya right?” asked Tamara to be sure “Yes, we do!” said Diane “but in a more conservative way, like a friend, I think” said Tharini “Yes, I agree” said Shenelle But after about three weeks the girls were way more into school work than into Shenaya.

They all thought since she’s sitting for A/L soon that bothering her was bad. Everyone acted normal when they met maybe an occasional smile but nonetheless nothing else ever happened. On the last day of school everyone was talking and laughing and having fun.

That day the group of girls remembered Shenaya, they badly wanted to talk to because she was alone. They felt sad for her. The bell rang and school was over, the girls saw Shenaya going home, all alone. Shenaya saw them and had an idea.

She stopped and waited for them to come, they passed. She quickly called out “Here! Wait! wait for me!” She yelled. The girls stopped amazed and excited “It’s the last day of school let’s hold hands and go...do you want to hold my hand?” she asked the eager group of girls “YES!” they held hands and walked out of the gate. This was a memorable day for the stalkers!
