Forever Love

It was three years ago; we met as good friends in our IT class. Our friends started spreading this rumour that we have a crush on each other. On January 26 2007, we became true lovers.

Those were the most beautiful days in my life. I think you felt the same way. I have no words to express how I felt. You were very kind and innocent. We loved each other sooo.. much.

Then we let our parents know about our affair. Two years after the affair began, we got engaged, exactly on January 15 2009, with blessings of all our relatives. That was the most beautiful day of my life. I thought I was the most lucky girl in the world. Then we started to plan our wedding.

Unfortunately four months after the engagement you called one night and said that you wanted to make a clean break. I felt the whole world crumbling around me in a one second. Can you imagine what I felt?

How did you do this? Can you forget me? If you loved me, how could you have ever said such a thing? I haven't tears to cry anymore.

I have left everything to time. Do you know how much I love you? How much I worry about you. I know you can't take care of yourself. I can wait till I die for you. The memory will never fade. I can live with those wonderful memories.

Now it has been three months since you left me. It is very difficult to bear. I didn't get one good night's sleep since that day. I wake up every night from time to time. I see you in my dreams every night.

Your departure has made my whole life a struggle. I'm always praying for your happiness. It is the most important thing in this world for me. I can't forget you and my heart will love you forever. I have forgiven you. I'll be waiting for you forever.

I love you my dear. Sumudu Senavirathne

Love Lines

The wind...

The wind whipped out the wetness
On the cheeks......
Protected and safe,
In the memories so deep......
Big things gone.., and promises left....
Dreams floating above the rainbows so high....,
And falling as heavy rain....,
Wetted the cheeks again....
Remained.... like a fragrance...., and
Filled the days and night....
Beats inside the heart,
At the rhythm of the steps....,
Covers the way, from the sharpness of the sun....
Songs.... slow.... and voices so.... low....
Touch the edges of the undisturbed soul....
Smiles.. are more than
What they mean....
Moments passing....
Not passing.... not at all....
Feels.... more than what has to be felt....,
forgives.... more than what must be forgiven....
partnerships broken....,
Though there were more balls to run....,
Loves....
More than should be loved....
(To you.... who made me understand..
the difference between smiles and laughs....)
