Greater interest for Lankan products in Japan

The Japanese are really interested in natural healthcare and eco friendly products such as organic products. Therefore, I think these products might have the potential for the market in Japan, said the Resident Representative JETRO Colombo, Masahide Sakishige.

CSE among the top bourses in the world

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) recorded a phenomenal escalation of 90 percent for the whole year and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) followed the same trend to increase to 95 percent. Just after the conclusion of the war, activities at the Colombo stock market escalated by 50 percent according to ASPI said Manager Business Development Colombo Stock Exchange Tushara Jayaratne.

ADB raises funding for Sri Lanka

All member countries have access to additional borrowing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the increase in General Capital, said ADB Country Representative, Richard Vokes. Sri Lanka’s funds increased this year from US$ 200 million to US$ 300 million which is aimed at accelerating post war infrastructure development.
