Four strategies vital :
Protecting the wetlands
In 2007, in my capacity as the Minister of
Environment & Natural Resources, I had to attend a function as its
chief guest, to mark the launching of the National Wetland Directory
of Sri Lanka. At this meeting, the well known Environmentalist, Dr.
Sarath Kotagama pointed out that our wetlands were rapidly shrinking
due to human activities.
