Eranga 84 shines for NCC
CRICKET: Middle order batsman Eranga Gangoda hit a top score of 84 to
lift NCC to a formidable 293 runs in their first innings on the second
day of their SLC Under-23 Division I Cricket Tournament semi-final match
against the BRC continued at the CCC ground in Maitland Crescent
yesterday.
NCC: 293 (E. Gangoda 84, S. Pussegolla 44, D. Dahanayake 29, D.
Chandimal 24, P. Wijenayake 23, L. Gamage 23 n.o, M. Madushanka 4 for
100, P. Chamara 3 for 64).
BRC: 15 for no loss.
Krishal helps SSC
All rounder Krishal Magage hit a fighting unbeaten half century to
help SSC reach an impressive 282 for 9 in their first innings on the
second day of their SLC Under-23 Division I Cricket Tournament
semi-final match against Ragama CC worked off at the Colts ground in
Havelock Park yesterday.

Cambrians Six-a-Side tournament

CRICKET: The Inter-Club Six-A-Side Cricket Tournament organised by
Cambrian Cricket Wing for the fifth consecutive year will be worked off
on 26 and 27 September, 2009 at De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa. All the
clubs which participate in the Premier Cricket Tournament will take
part.
The winners will carry away a handsome cash prize of Rs. 100,000
while the runner-up will receive a cash award of Rs. 50,000.
Reigning champs lose to Police 1-0
Police sports club with solid combination played fine soccer to
outsmart the reigning champions Army SC one goal to nil in a Dialog
Champions League encounter played at Police Park yesterday at half time
