'Move over Mrs. Markham'
by Nilma Dole
After quite a break from acting,
founder of Silent Hands, director, producer and witty actor, Jehan
Bastians will be seen in the production of 'Move Over Mrs. Markham' that
is tipped to take place on December 10.
Nothing much is given away but the fact that their official Facebook
profile for the play is called Lodge Lodge and Markham that reveals a
"publishing firm with a strong focus on children's books, we always
strive to provide the most current, accurate and informative
entertainment to our young audiences". In a bid to reveal a little about
the company, the profile explains that "Lodge Lodge and Markham is happy
to inform the public that they have been selected as the Royal Publisher
to the Queen (Children's Books) for the calendar year 2009".
The directors are Henry Lodge (Senior Partner), Philip Markham
(Junior Partner), Linda Lodge (Director) and Joana Markham (Director).
On Henry Lodge's blog, he goes to say: "I make no secret of the fact
that I'm good in my ways with the lady folk. Every man should be so if
he's got the talent. Unlike Philip who's a down on his luck mad bull who
looks like he's always chasing after his own tale. And I don't give a
flying eff about what Philip thinks of my posts. He's quite used to
being stepped on by mavericks like me. So I'm sure he'll understand".
With possibly a crazy mind, Henry also gives another posting on his
blog with : "You might remember that through my earlier post I publicly
announced that I'm looking for people to be part of our team as my
secretary. I specifically told Philip Markham that anatomical attributes
should be 36-26-36 (or somewhere around that). That fool of many
magnitudes thought that the anatomical attributes referred to EYESIGHT!!
And now she's hired and already in the payroll. This is the type of
stupidity that causes depression and anxiety at office and loss of
motivation".Performing in the cast will be the talented Jerome L.De
Silva, Sulochana Perera, Roshni Guneratne, Minosh Joachim, Milinda
Mendis, Bimsara Premaratne, Miranga Ariyaratne and of course, the
versatile Neidra Williams.
