Lahiru Elvitigala Junior Scrabble Champion

SCRABBLE: Lahiru Elvitigala student of Lyceum International School Nugegoda, added yet another title to his illustrious scrabble career, when he became the junior champion (Over 13 - under-18) at the recently concluded All Island Scrabble competition organized by the Sri Lanka Scrabble League. Nishan Perera also of LIS (N) was placed 10th. A total of 84 young scrabblers from around the island took part in this category.

Lahiru also emerged runner-up at the 2009 Schools Scrabbler of the year contest held on 27th September in which the top 33 players from schools took part.

Lyceum Nugegoda will hold their annual schools under-15 scrabble tournament on November 21st.
