Sports Council for Central Province appointed

SPORTS COUNCIL: The Ministry of Sports of the Central Province has formed a Sports Council to administer and improve the standard of sports in the Central Province. In this regard, the chief Minister of Central Province Sarath Ekanayake issued appointment letters to the officials at the Chief Minister's Bungalow last week.

Twenty District Secretaries in the area have been appointed as the President of each Provincial Secretariat area and the Minister of Sports Central Province C. V. Radhakrishnan has been appointed the President of the Sports Council. The Director of Sports H. G. Ariyaratne has been appointed as the Secretary.
