COLOURS AWARDS: St. Anthony’s Girls College, Kandy will hold their
Colours Award ceremony next Tuesday, October 27 at 2 p.m. at the school
hall in Kandy.
Former S. Thomas’ College rugby captain and Sri Lanka Youth ruggerite
Namal Rajapaksa will be the chief guest.

CRICKET: Dharmaraja College, Kandy beat Polonnaruwa Royal College by
155 runs in their Under-13 Division I cricket match played recently at
the Lakeview grounds, Kandy.
K. Dissanayake of Dharmaraja scored an unbeaten 122 and the chief
scores are as follows:
Dharmaraja: 261 for 7 decl. (K. Dissanayake 122 not out, Kavinda
Ratnayake 60, Harsha Herath 18, L. Batagalla 3 for 42, H.L. Walpola 3
for 19).
Polonnaruwa Royal: 106 (S.M. Jayasundera 25, I. Batagalle 15, H.L.

Mithun, Tissa and Amrith China bound
GOLF: Flying over to China tonight to partake in the Asia Cup Golf
Tournament will be the reputed golfer Mithun Perera, leading golfer
Tissa Chandradasa and the talented Amrith de Soysa.
The golf competition will commence on October 29 and conclude on
November 1. The winner at the Asia Cup will be eligible to be invited to
take part in the US Masters and the British Open in its final stages.

CRICKET: Colombo South ‘B’ beat Kalutara District by 185 runs in
their Inter-District Under-15 Cricket Tournament match sponsored by
Prima and organised by Sri Lanka Cricket, played at Moratuwa. Batting
first Colombo South ‘B’ totalled 258 runs with Janith Vimukthi of Lalith
Athulathmudali Vidyalaya scoring 65 runs and skipper Ishan Peiris of
Moratu Vidyalaya making 53 runs. Dulan Peiris captured 4 for 51 for the
visitors.

Sports Club in their Inter-Club Premier league Cricket Tournament match
played at Welisara and organised by SLC. Resuming at 290 for 7 on
day-two Navy were all out for 390 runs with overnight batsman Sameera
Rasanga making 74 runs.
Navy SC: 290 for 7 overnight all out 390 (Sameera Rasanga 74, Udara
Lakmal 47, Charith Fernando 3 for 71, Sudeera de Soysa 2 for 97, Milinda
