 Let's go to the other side
 These words JESUS did say:
To the apostles that day
Preparing them for the long journey
Of life: which ends in Etemity
Let's think deep of the words somehow;
Aren't we too on a journey now,
Ups and downs comes our way
Traffic jams and come what may
To overcome all difficulties we face
Trust and confidence in HIM place,
In your journey to the other side; each day
Avoid the impediments that come your way
No turning back, no turning back, forward go,
To reach the goal we need so much so

Unwelcome visitors
 The man he was hale and hearty
Had helped many people
Now he is old and poor
And is confined to his room
People who came to see him to get help
Had stopped coming now
But those whom he had kept at bay
Are coming in streams -
I mean the sicknesses

With my eyes closed
You loom up in front of me,
With your sweet, kind loving smile
You were so kind, so gentle and loving,
In a very special way
You were my guardian angel,
Who always protected and loved me
You taught me everything,
Every bit in detail
Love, kindness, patience and faithfulness
You gave me courage to live,
You made our home a heaven,
With full of laughter and happiness!
An everlasting joy prevailing
But now our heaven's empty,
Because my angel's in heaven
I can't go on living without you,
Without your noble, kind, presence

Picking flowers
I picked some flowers with many hues, but
The chief said they were little pale and only buds
Evaluating test papers is a noble task
No one should wear silly camouflage mask
I picked some flowers with less hues, but
She deadened and again wanted to butt
The flowers permeate the fragrance
While the edges of petals swing with breeze
One and One means eleven
That's how we've been driven
Or else it should be two
This is very quite true
Sinew of petals begin to appear
Rainbow hue changed into grey then brown
Patches and dots feasted upon
They gnarled to be deformed
One by one flew with air
I'll pick some more and more
Striving soul blow and pour
Tomorrow is not today
But Today makes us for tomorrow

Brave soldier
 Soldier, soldier' you have bravely fought
And freed Mother Lanka
From the worst kind of terrorism
That raged on for three decades
Peace is now ours, to preserve and enjoy
Irrespective of caste, creed and nationality.
Our brave Armed Forces
Marched forward on a daunting path
Over hill and dale
Studded with landmines
Confronting the enemy firing
To complete their dangerous mission
And free country and people
From mayhem and devastation
With gratitude in our hearts
We Salute You our Military Saviours;
And as the saying goes
"At the setting of the Sun
And in the morning
We shall always remember you."
