Moors make a strong fight back

Moors Sports Club after been shot out for 91 runs hit back strongly to reduce their opponents Ragama CC to 64 for 5 in their first innings on the second day of their rain hit SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match which continued at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Moors SC: 91 Ragama CC: 64 for 5 (D. Ranatunga 26 n.o., D. Lokuhettige 3 for 11).

Angelo helps NCC total 265

Middle order batsman Angelo Perera hit a top score of 81 to help NCC reach a formidable 265 runs in their first innings on the second day of their rain hit SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match against Chilaw Marians SC which continued at Maitland Place yesterday.

NCC: 265 (Y. de Silva 65, D. Chandimal 24, C. Wijesinghe 20, K. Kulasekera 23, A. Perera 81, T. Kottahewa 26, G. Wijekoon 4 for 35, D. Hettiarachchi 2 for 89, M. Pushpakumara 2 for 44).

Spinner Sohan Boralessa snapped up four wickets for 35 to help CCC dismiss Bloomfield for 246 runs in their first innings on the second day of their rain hit SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match which continued at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

Bloomfield: 246 (T. Gunaratne 21, C. Silva 130, T. Lakshitha 23, C. Vidanapathirana 3 for 79, S. Boralessa 4 for 76).

Not a ball was bowled on the second day of the SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match between Sri Lanka Army SC and Colts CC due to bad weather at Panagoda yesterday.

Heavy overnight rain washed out the second day's play of the SLC Premier League cricket tournament Tier A match between SSC and Tamil Union at Maitland Place yesterday.

Tamil Union: 94 for 4 v SSC.
