Aruna leaves for Philippines

One of the leading rugby referees in Sri Lanka Aruna Rankothge has been nominated as one of the rugby referees from Asia to officiate at the Asian under 20 rugby tournament to be worked off in Manila in Philippines from November 16 to 22. Six teams will participate in this Asian under 20 rugby tournament - namely India, Pakistan, Iran, Philippines, Laos and Cambodia.

Aruna is a member of the APF Rugby referees panel and he has officiated and also acted as Assistant Referee in many matches abroad.

He has also officiated in the prestigious Bradby Shield clash between Royal and Trinity and also at the Caltex 'A' Division inter club matches.
