Logiwiz wins double awards

Logiwiz, the Third Party Logistics (3PL) arm of the Hayleys Advantis Group secured two awards at the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA), organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka.

The company was adjudged winner 'Logistics and Transport Sector' and was also adjudged runner-up in the 'Knowledge Integrator' category at the sixth edition of this awards ceremony held at the Hilton Colombo on November 26.

"The two awards that we won at this prestigious event are extremely significant to us," said Omar Raban, Managing Director of Hayleys Advantis.

"This recognition provides further motivation to introduce more innovative products and processes in the future, and goes to endorse Logiwiz's position as the premier Third Party Logistics Service provider in Sri Lanka."

"Logiwiz has to date invested over USD 7.5 million in logistics infrastructure to support its operations across the country and are extremely proud about our contribution to significantly uplift the standard of Third Party Logistics in Sri Lanka over the last few years. The results of which are evident from our impressive clientele", Omar Raban further said.

The 'Knowledge Integrator' award presented recognises the company's superior performance in product and process innovation.

The company's product innovations during the last five years include several industry tailored services that have supported the logistics requirements of the various industries keeping in minds their inherent characteristics.

The company has implemented several specific process innovations which has impacted the business growth significantly over the same period. These include a World Class Warehouse Management System operating in a Radio Frequency environment with High Availability; deploying a world class warehouse design and simulation tool; continuously implementing business process re-engineering exercises, deploying energy conserving material handling equipment and other infrastructure, innovative racking solutions and implementing the "People Going Beyond" Performance Management Systems.

Today, Logiwiz has grown beyond the shores of Sri Lanka, and moved in to India and the Pacific Islands, in keeping in line with the company's vision to be the Supply Chain Solutions Provider of choice throughout the Asia Pacific region.
