First Global gets another award

The DCEO of First Global Investments (FGI), S.H.M. Faraaz has received an award from the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Pakistan for his outstanding presentation titled "How Islamic Banking Becomes Safe in International Financial Crises" at the 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Islamic Banking and Takaful held on November 2, 2009 at the Convention Centre, Islamabad.

The event, organized by the Alhuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics was billed as the top Islamic Finance Event of the year and included an impressive line of speakers from the top Islamic Finance hubs in the world. It covered Islamic Banking, Finance, Takaful, Sukuk and Islamic Microfinance.

Faraaz was also given an opportunity to make a presentation on "Islamic Micro Finance Market in Sri Lanka" at a fullday workshop held in Islamabad.
