BoI grants approval for three ventures
New Projects in Packaging, Tea Products and Japanese Medical Training
established under BOI, The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted
investment approval for three ventures to commence operations. Dhammika
Perera, Chairman/Director General signed the agreements and formally
presented the BOI Certificate of Registration to the investors.
Kaatsu Highly Advanced Medical Technology Training Centre (Private)
Limited Kaatsu Highly Advanced Medical Technology Training Centre is an
initial investment of US $ 4 million to provide Kaatsu teaching and
training methodology for foreign students. Kaatsu is a psychotherapy
method involving compressing the vasculature proximal to the exercising
muscles, developed by Yoshiaki Sato said M. A. Ariyaratna Director of
the company. The training institute is expected to provide degree
qualifications in this field affiliated with a recognised university in
Japan.

LS Electric Systems introduces a new product
LS Electric Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., together with their co-marketing
provider AKLAN International (Pvt.) Ltd introduced a new, high
technology electric product to the Sri Lankan market.
The newly launched product, namely SUSOL is a developed version of
the AIR MEC series.
This was previously available on the product lists of LS Electric
Systems categorized under Air Circuit Breakers (ACB) under the name MEC.
The new product is an upgraded form in context of quality as well as
functionality.
"Through the new changes made in the product, the operating
combinations have been made easier and we believe that it will be a good
competitor for similar category products''.
Revlon launches HydraBoost
Revlon Lanka Pvt Ltd. launched the Revlon HydraBoost Skincare, a
complete skincare range for normal dry skin that helps boost the skin’s
moisture level and restores its elasticity.
General Manager, Revlon Lanka, T.S. Prakash said the objective in
introducing the products is to bridge the gap of the Revlon product
portfolio.

IPM guest lecture series
The Membership Development and CSR Committee 2009/2010 of the
Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (IPM) has organized an
