Softball cricket semis and final today

SOFTBALL CRICKET: Nawalanka SC, Lewella, Kandy; Honest Star SC Teldeniya, Kandy, Mahaiyawa SC, Kandy and Agni SC, Kandy have qualified for the semi-finals of the Six-a-side Softball Cricket Tournament for the 'General Anuruddha Ratwatte Challenge Trophy'. The tourney is organised by the Kandy District Sports Development Foundation.

In the preliminary round, 14 teams entered and matches were played at the Police Grounds, Kandy recently. The final matches too will be played at the same venue on the 13th of December, 2009. The Chief Guest will be Pujith Jayasundera, DIG, Central Range and the Deputy President of the Kandy District Sports Development Foundation.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was held under the patronage of General Anuruddha Ratwatte, the President of the Foundation.
