Flinth Industrial Park offers excellent facilities

Today, Flinth Industrial Park, a high quality industrial park, officially opened its gates. Located at the Ranmuthugala Estate at Kadawatha, the Flinth Industrial Park provides attractive premises, administrative services and qualified employees to demanding Multi National Manufacturing Companies.

On 10 acres of lush land in Kadawatha, keeping the environment issues in mind when designed, the Flinth Industrial Park offers world class production facilities for at present 10 companies, an administrative building and a canteen seating 600 people at a time. These premises are totalling an impressive 20,000 sq mts. The security in the park meets the requirements for subcontractors to the international defence industry.

Rune Flinth, Founder and Chairman, Flinth Industrial Park (Pvt) Ltd., said: "It is with great pleasure that I launch the Flinth Industrial Park. The park is based on a concept which is a synthesis of my entrepreneurial experiences from running companies for more than 40 years. These companies have been in various fields and countries, some in my native country Sweden and some abroad and many of these in my second homeland Sri Lanka.

Here should be mentioned Flintec Transducers, Straintec, Toroid International and Swedlanka, all BOI companies which over the years have created employment and vocational training for thousands of Sri Lankans and earned foreign currency for Sri Lanka.

What makes Flinth Industrial Park unique are the total administrative services provided to the companies in the Park enabling each company to focus on its production and to realize its visions. Recruitment and training of personnel, sourcing of raw material and equipment, book keeping and financial analysis and the implementation of adequate quality assurance systems are examples of tasks taken care of by Flinth Industrial Park through qualified specialists, which through being shared among several companies become affordable to each of them.

The Park offers an unparalleled working environment for all employees in the companies in the Park. Every aspect of the Park is geared to provide a seamless and trouble-free working environment. Through using the latest achievements in telecommunications and computer enhanced management systems the disadvantages of centralization have been negated."

Unlike most entrepreneurs having a unique concept Flinth, making the investment in the Park and, together with others, in the companies in the Park, through his Swedish holding company Swedcord Development, hopes that his ideas will be widely copied contributing to the competitiveness of the Sri Lankan manufacturing industry.
