Minister condemns Fonseka

Sarath Fonseka’s attempt to bring the heroes of the humanitarian operation before the International Criminal Tribunal is another betrayal said Power Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.

At the final stage of the humanitarian operation Sarath Fonseka was not in the Island but in China. He was not interested in the humanitarian operation. Fonseka is jealous of the genuine heroes such as Kamal Gunaratna, Prasanna De Silva, Shavendra Silva and Chagie Gallage of the Sri Lanka Army, he said.

The minister said that Sarath Fonseka had not referred to Sri Lanka as a unitary country in his election manifesto. He is not in a position to talk about a unitary country because he had consented to R. Sampandan’s TNA proposals including the re-merging of North and the East, he said. Ranil who has no children does not need a country while Sarath Fonseka too needs no country since he is a USA green card holder, he said.
